Winning: A Tourism Strategy for 2012 and Beyond

Following the widest-ever consultation of the tourism sector, the DCMS report provides an action plan for the industry for the six years between 2007 and 2013. Drawn up with VisitBritain and Visit London, the strategy was published in September 2007 and provides a blueprint to assist the UK tourism industry in the run up to the London Olympic and Paralympics Games.

VisitScotland Annual Report 2006-7

The 06/07 annual report for VisitScotland, the national tourism organisation for Scotland. The organisations stated aim of ‘putting the customer at the heart of what we do’ is reflected in the central theme of this report, which revolves around the customer journey. This is their first annual report to be published only online and is available to download at www.visitscotlandannualreport.co.uk


A Business Tourism Action Plan For North East England

An independent report that gives guidance and provides an evidence base for activities that might support the growth of the business tourism sector in the North East region. One NorthEast, the Regional Development Agency for the region, commissioned Tourism UK Ltd to develop the action plan, “setting out a clear role for public sector intervention that is most effective at driving growth in business tourism”.
