London

Tourism is one of the key drivers of London s economy, generating approximately £16.6 billion in visitor spending each year and supporting around 253,000 full time equivalent jobs.
London welcomes around 15 million overseas visitors each year, with an additional 10 million overnight visitors coming from within the UK. Approximately 150 million tourism day trips are made annually to the capital.
Since winning the bid for 2012 Olympics, the capital has become a natural choice for major world-class events. Events for London, a partnership between the Mayor, the London Development Agency and Visit London, is tasked with attracting, developing and staging major sporting and cultural events in London.
